I hope this report can cure your Monday blues.

It was lovely feeling rolling back into Ruxley after a long absence. Confidence was high in the squad with the more optimistic squad members predicting scores upwards of 40-0 to the home team. However….
I can’t really remember what was said in the team huddle but from what took place in the first 5 minutes of the game it must have been something along the lines of “tackling is optional”.
Now 12-0 down the score predictions were looking slightly less prophetic and slightly more like the words spoken by the soon to be dick of the day.
The next 60minutes of the game went by with both teams seemingly more interest in who could have the most scrums, rather than playing rugby. MoM Nick Going carried hard in between the endless packing down whilst Harry rigden, a man young enough to be Bob Owen’s grandson, did his best to give us some field position.
With 10 minutes left and the game starting to slip away, a certain Mr Wallis suddenly remembered that he hasn’t yet scored his usual smattering of tries. Taking advantage of the tiring Cobham pack Dylan managed to prise the ball off of any and every OH forward and steer back to back mauls over the line.
With the scores level we thought it only good manners to give Chobham another soft try to make the score 19-12….
Any finally, with mere minutes to play, a sharp break led to Ben Ter Haar scurrying in to the corner.
19-19 at full time, 2s remain unbeaten at Ruxley for over 365 Calendar days.
